Law Day 2025

On National Law Day, May 1, we’re excited to welcome local high school students to our firm for a day of learning and exploration. Students will have the opportunity to engage with our attorneys and staff, gain insights into the legal profession, and participate in hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of the law.

We’re proud to support the next generation of legal professionals and inspire future career paths in the legal field.

Changes To California's Probate Code

Beginning April 1, 2025, a primary residence valued up to $750,000 is now available for a simplified probate procedure as an alternative to formal probate if there are no other properties to probate ano cash or liquid assets are minimal.

It’s important to note that the simplified process for transferring a primary residence valued under $750,000 does not eliminate the need for comprehensive estate planning tools like wills and trusts, which address the transfer of all other assets and provide for various other estate planning considerations.
