Shaping the Future: Welcoming Summer Clerks, Celebrating Law Day & Probate Code Changes
We’re excited to share our Q1 2026 Firm Newsletter from Griswold LaSalle Cobb Dowd & Gin LLP. This edition highlights several important updates and milestones as we continue strengthening our commitment to exceptional client service.
First, we’re proud to welcome Stacey L. Voss as our newest associate attorney. After graduating from San Joaquin College of Law and passing the bar, Stacey has joined our litigation team, bringing dedication, passion, and a strong work ethic to support our clients and their legal needs. With Stacey on board, our firm now has 14 attorneys, expanding our ability to provide high-quality representation and personalized guidance.
We’re also sharing key updates in California law, including the minimum wage increase taking effect on January 1, 2026, raising the statewide minimum wage to $16.90 per hour for all employers. Additionally, we highlight an expansion of California Paid Family Leave benefits, allowing employees to care for a seriously ill designated person, strengthening protections for families and loved ones.
Finally, we celebrate the unveiling of our annual Christmas Windows display—an event that continues to bring warmth and joy to our community each year. Thank you for reading, and we appreciate your continued trust and support!

A New Chapter: Welcoming Back, What’s New in California Law
We’re excited to share our Q3 2025 Firm Newsletter from Griswold LaSalle! This quarter, we’re especially proud to welcome back Stacey Voss and Bailey Morrell after a summer filled with outlines, flashcards, and caffeine-fueled bar exam preparation. Their dedication, hard work, and determination are truly inspiring, and we’re thrilled to have them back in the office bringing fresh energy, sharp perspectives, and a strong commitment to serving our clients. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for them in this next chapter!
In this edition, we’re also highlighting key updates in California law that may impact individuals and businesses statewide. Topics include important clarifications to California’s hands-free driving law, new rules requiring upfront disclosure of Airbnb fees (with major penalties for hidden costs), updated requirements making it easier to cancel subscriptions, and new standards for bars and nightclubs to offer drink lids and display safety notices. We also cover new photo documentation rules for landlords aimed at preventing deposit disputes.
These changes are already in effect—and understanding them matters. If you have questions about how these laws apply to you, our team is here to help. Thank you for your continued trust and support!
