Here’s what you can typically expect when you apply for a position with our firm:
1. Application Review:
- We carefully review all cover letters and resumes submitted for open positions or general inquiries. These documents serve an important purpose in our initial assessment.
- We pay close attention to your ability to follow directions, as well as your spelling and grammar. These details are absolutely crucial for success in a law firm environment where precision in communication is paramount.
- Beyond your qualifications, your cover letter provides us with insight into who you are as a person, your motivations, and why you are interested in Griswold LaSalle.
2. Initial Interviews:
- Candidates who move forward in the process will typically participate in a round of two 30-minute interview sessions.
- Each interview session is conducted by a team of 2 to 3 employees from various roles and levels within the firm. This collaborative approach allows us to gain diverse perspectives on each candidate.
3. Final Pre-Offer Interview:
- Following the initial interviews, a short list of candidates is typically forwarded to our Managing Partner and Office Manager.
- They conduct a final interview to further assess candidates and ensure a strong fit with the firm’s overall direction and culture.
4. Offer of Employment:
- Successful candidates will then receive an offer of employment.

Our hiring process is highly collaborative, and you may encounter individuals ranging from our most senior partners to our newest team members. This reflects our belief that everyone’s perspective is valuable in identifying the best talent for our firm.
