Robert M. Dowd

ROBERT M. DOWD specializes in civil litigation, government, agricultural cooperatives, personal injury, education, and municipal law. He comes from a military background, having achieved Honor Graduate at the Marine Corps, Basic School in 1969. He later went on to serve for thirteen years in the Marine Corps where he travelled the world, deploying in Vietnam and Japan. He eventually retired from service in 1998 at the rank of Colonel. Dowd earned his B.A. from San Francisco State University in 1968, and his J.D. from the California Western School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1976. Robert Dowd joined the firm in 1981, and has since been recognized for his professionalism by being included in the 2007 through 2017 Northern California Super Lawyers List. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trail Lawyers, American Board of Trial Advocates, and the International Society of Barristers. Dowd has been named in the 2017 Who’s Who Directory and has also earned an AV “Preeminent” Martindale-Hubbell Rating.
